Journey deep into the Crone archetype

We have created a magical evening gathering in circle, weaving QOYA Dance, meditation, Dark Sauna Ritual
and Bee Medicine into a deep soul journey to meet your shadow and drop into the void in deep reflection.

At many points in our life we tried to hide
from our shadow, but we must learn how to navigate the Dark
and not deny that part of us. Welcome the Crone on this dark time
the of year and tap into your inner wise women.

Navigate from an outward focus and energy to an inward one and feel your inner senses heightened.

Slow down, become introspective. We will guide you, in a safe, sacred space and hold you.

Our world has yet to fully acknowledge the archetype of the Crone. As we bring her out into the light of our awareness,
embrace and journey with her, we free ourselves to become authentic and to show up powerfully in our lives and in the world.

We can’t be fully empowered in our light if we have not fully acknowledged our dark, which can become a negative spiral.
We often deny negative feelings, and project them onto others in dysfunctional ways, which can create more shame.

You may be longing for a sense of home in your body.
 If you close your eyes, you can feel it right?

The old ways of ‘doing’ are not working anymore and you feel lost. Everything you thought you are faded, hidden in darkness
and you no longer know who you are. You are craving the feminine, the connection, sisterhood. You’re feeling ‘off’ deep within |
your core. It feels like you are being given signs to listen and act upon. Your life is transitioning. The ‘death’ of old, an ending of something or someone you are attached to. A spiritual ‘breakdown’ takes place before an awakening, a breakthrough occurs.

This darkness is there to deepen your sense of self loss deep within your very bones.

In sacred space we gather in silence, to re-member parts of ourselves that we have denied and forgotten.
We muster the courage to bare all, to be naked and vulnerable in the dark heat to be become lighter, transformed and liberated. Reborn wiser, stronger, more courageous, empowered by love and awakened to what is above and below,
within and without us – in sacred sisterhood like we used to eons ago.

What to bring:

Yoga mat and bolster if you have one (we will have plenty of cushions and blankets).
Your journal or notebook if you want to write down and reflect.
Something warm (if you think you may need it) - the event is held outside around the fire (weather permitting)

Sarong, slippers or jandals, water bottle, beach or bath towel, bathrobe or kaftan.

Your body is the most technically complex organism on earth. It stores and processes information in ways that your mind can’t and is the most powerful resource you possess. When you move, you access that information.

You experience the physical sensation of truth - what’s true for you - and gain
the confidence and clarity to follow it. You remember how to trust the truth in your body as your sacred guide to embody your soul and live a life aligned with your truth by following your intuition. You remember that the body is holy, and specifically the temple of your eternal soul.

About Alison
Alison is Qoya teacher and life dancer. Full time working mother of two, and change-maker. She continues to study various alternative healing modalities and offers these as part of her healers kete (basket). She is an earth lover and can be found in the bush and sea. Dancing is her joy, as is the ability to effect change through the body where energy moves.

It is important to arrive hydrated and sip water as needed during the evening.

Sauna:
The sauna is a safe & sacred space for you to explore and express all parts of your being. Take care of yourself. If you need support, ask for it.
If you need to stop do it. If you need to rest allow yourself to do it. No judgment. No shame. No expectations. There may be moments of feeling uncomfortable,
scared or awkward, which is normal and can be part of the process. You will be fully supported to go beyond your comfort zone and open yourself.

We use a traditional Finnish sauna with temperatures between 85-100 C. The length of time the body can tolerate heat will vary from person to person and the session
is 5-20 mins. If you start to feel dizzy, nauseous or get a headache, let me know immediately. Cooling down after sauna is important and a cold shower is encouraged.
The heat makes the heart work harder. You should not attend if you have heart problems.

Don’t drink alcohol before the sauna ritual and don’t have a large meal or strenuous exercise before attending. Sauna is not recommended if you are pregnant.
If you are using any medications please consult your doctor and check if sauna is ok for you. I recommend not to use any lotions/perfume on your body prior
to a sauna session and come without makeup. It would be best not to shave or wax on the day of the event to prevent skin irritations.
